 ate art\, culture\, history\, and story telling through the work of Afric
 an American authors and illustrators in children’s literature.\n\nIn this
  family story time for children ages 5-8\, we will gather together to rea
 d aloud the selected book and expand our experience of the book through d
 iscussion\, activities and celebration. Participants will receive a copy 
 of the book to keep to encourage reflection and foster sharing of the pro
 gram experience with others in their lives. We invite families of childre
