 A former New York City cab driver\, bartender\, bouncer\, and actor\, Dav
 id Ray’s award-winning songs have been described as “cinematic.” They’ve 
 been sung by artists as varied as Grammy-winner Shawn Colvin and Dove Awa
 rd winner Kathy Troccoli\, and recorded by producers from Arif Mardin (Ar
 etha Franklin) to Ric Wake (Whitney Houston). Along with Lyle Lovett\, Ri
 chie Havens\, Julie Gold (From a Distance) and others\, his early Fast Fo
 lk recordings are now part of the permanent collection at the Smithsonian
  Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage. As a performer\, David has sh
 ared the stage with Roger McGuinn\, Shawn Colvin\, John Leventhal\, Dave 
 Alvin\, Lucy Kaplanski\, Marshall Crenshaw\, Joan Osborne\, Paula Poundst
 one\, Cliff Eberhardt\, Maia Sharp\, Mark Ford\, KJ Denhert\, Dan Hicks a
 nd the Hot Licks\, and many more.\n\nHis latest album\, and the title son
 g\, “So I Run\,” produced by Andy Stack (Yola\, Girl from the North Count
 ry)\, and featuring CMHOF inductee Cindy Cashdollar and an all-star ensem
 ble\, has already received multiple awards (2022 HOFA International Song 
 Contest\, 2022 International Song Contest (ISC)\, and the 2023 Shiner/VEV
 A Collect Song Contest).\n\nOver the span of eight years\, three albums\,
  four singles\, widespread airplay and knockout reviews\, Bruce T Carroll
  has established himself as an Americana artist with a social conscience 
 and a deft lyrical touch. Using irony and imagery as tools in trade\, Bru
 ce’s work has been described by No Depression Magazine as “devilishly bri
 lliant\,” “intensely brilliant\,” and “a fine commentary on America’s pas
 t.” His signature songs “When Two Worlds Collide\,” “Fox In The Henhouse\
 ,” and “Lift Your Head Up” continue to get good airplay worldwide\, spotl
 ighting the refugee crisis and political upheaval at home and abroad.\n\n
 His most recent full-length album\, “First Bird To Sing\,” is an explorat
 ion of love and loss and “a brilliant album that attacks the dark side wi
 th a TAC flashlight and hope\,” solidifying Bruce’s reputation as a “sing
 ular talent.” Bruce’s penultimate single\, “Find Your Way\,” began as a b
 lessing for his children but ended as a beautiful paean for the disposses
 sed. His latest release is called “The Words We Said” and offers a stoic’
 s view of a relationship in decline.\n\nBruce is currently working on a s
 ong cycle exploring the essential commonality and occasional beauty of li
 fe in America. It is hoped that this as-yet untitled album will be ready
